May 29 Slow-Cooker Chicken Parmesan with Penne Pasta

You Will Need:

1-1/2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 jar of pasta sauce

8 oz uncooked penne pasta ( about 2 2/3 cups)

2 tablespoons oil

1 cup bread crumbs (Italian style if able)

1/2 cup Parmesan cheese


How to Make:

Spray the slow-cooker with cooking spray and place the chicken breasts in the cooker. Pour pasta sauce over the chicken. Cook on low setting for 4 to 5 hours.

Before serving, cook pasta as directed.

Meanwhile, in a medium sized skillet, heat the oil. Add the bread crumbs. Cook the crumbs for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown. Set aside.

To serve, top pasta with chicken, pasta sauce, crumbs, and cheese.
