Sep 25 Easy Taco Melts

Updated: Oct 18, 2019

You Will Need:

1 lb lean ground beef (at least 80%)

1 package taco seasoning mix

2/3 cups water

1 1/2 cups thick n’ chunky salsa (optional)

1 can of refrigerated buttermilk biscuits

1/2 cup shredded cheese (personal choice)

1 cup sour cream (optional)

How To Make It:

In medium saucepan, cook beef until no longer pink. Drain meat, and then return it to saucepan. Add taco seasoning mix, water and 1/2 cup of the salsa until thickened.

Press each biscuit into 6-inch round. Spoon 1/3 cup meat mixture and 1 tablespoon cheese onto center of each round. Fold dough in half over filling; press to seal. Place on greased cookie sheet. It is OK if the front is not sealed all the way, just make sure the sides are.

Bake at 375°F 9 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with remaining salsa and sour cream if desired.

Meal time done!
